The Day ChatGPT Gave Gill an Unexpected Award

“When ChatGPT released its Year in Review, I didn’t understand what the statistics meant.

One figure caught my eye. What was the 1% about? So, I asked.

When ChatGPT explained that I’d used the platform more than 99% of other users, I laughed and responded:

“It’s a good job I’m writing a book with you about AI, otherwise the coach in me would be telling myself to get a life!”

The phrase “Most Likely to Fact-Check the Universe” has taken on a life of its own. In December 2025 it was a playful, an algorithm-generated award. Today, it almost reads like an accidental tagline for my work. It captures my curiosity without taking myself too seriously, which is very Me.

At the time, I was deep into writing, what began as a book about the soul. Over the following weeks, something unexpected happened. The manuscript slowly transformed into a book about discernment in the age of AI.

Looking back, these screenshots became more than annual statistics. They became a timestamp from around the moment the direction of my work quietly changed.
